Obituary for MELVIN BUSHA NOWLING Sr.

Melvin Busha Nowling Sr., age 89, departed this life on February 25, 2016. He was born May 14, 1926 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Clarence and Mary Nowling; graduated from Garnet High School; served in the Navy as a Seaman during WWII. He was a retiree from the U.S. Postal Service and the Columbus Board of Education. Member of First AME Zion Church, Steward Board Emeritus, Member of Templeairs, Sanctuary and the Andrew L. Foster, Jr. Memorial Choirs. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Clearene Nowling; sons, Melvin B Nowling Jr., Mark (Ava) Nowling; daughter, Michelle Nowling Brent; grandchildren, William Joshua (Stephanie) Brent III, Jennifer, Julie and Joi Brent; Matthew, Marcus and Michael Nowling; great granddaughters, Gabrielle Brent, Madison Brent, Ari Rose Romine, Samantha Brent; and the only surviving sibling Grace Greene; including many nephews, nieces, relatives and countless friends.
