Obituary

On January 26, 1943 Bishop Ronald L. Bell experienced his first sunrise. After serving in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile crises as a Seabee, he returned to Columbus, Ohio and learned meat cutting as a trade. After spending 40 + years in the industry serving local and national grocers and representing local unions, Ron retired. On May 22, 1985 Ronald finally married his childhood sweetheart Nina Gore. At this same time he also experienced the call to serve in ministry. After studying under Bishop Lester Gore and completing school through Simmons Bible College Bishop Bell along with his wife pastored Christ Southern Missionary Church. From starting a Boy Scout troop and feeding the homeless to caring for the sick and needy Bishop Bell served his community. On March 4, 2019 Bishop Ronald Bell experienced his final sunset. He is proceeded in death by grandmother Sarah Johnson, parents Kenneth Bell, Cleona Kimbrough and stepfather Richard Kimbrough. He is survived by his loving wife Pastor Nina Gore-Bell, children, Kenneth (Cindy), Robin, Cincera, Kimberly, Yenetta, Janetta, Chakiera (Shawn), Bill and Orlando Cummings; siblings, Brenda, Mona (John), Roberta (Al), Wayne (Anita), Richard, Jr., Rochelle (Lance), Spencer, Jean, Rosalee, Hiram (Yvonne) and Lester (Phillis); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to acknowledge his daughter and special care giver, Robin; granddaughter, Jessica; nieces, India and Jamila; grandson, Minister Michael Brown; and special great nieces, Riley and Kylie, whom he loved dearly.
