LEROY NELSON Jr.
Mr. Leroy Nelson Jr., age 55, passed away at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH, on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Born on August 6th, 1963 in Columbus, OH, Leroy attended Franklin Heights High School and graduated with the class of 1982. He enjoyed being a part of the football and basketball teams as well as being a member of the band. He loved his work as a sous chef and has worked in the culinary field his entire career. Leroy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James D. and Sureeta Brothers, paternal grandparents Ralph and Mattie Nelson as well as his father Leroy Nelson Sr. Survivors include his mother Shirley Willis, sisters Victoria Nelson and Tracy Shackleford, his son Derek (Catherine) Nelson, special friend Vicky Lee, and a host of loving family and friends.
