Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Howard

Mary Elizabeth Howard was born in Zanesville, Ohio, December 18,1933 to Thomas and Edna Rogers; she graduated from Zanesville High School and married her high school sweetheart, Willis Howard. After traveling the world as a military family for 30 years, with tours in Alaska and Panama, the family settled in Columbus Ohio, where Mary spent helping others as a nurse at Mt. Carmel Hospital. Mary was also a 30 year breast cancer survivor. Mary leaves her husband of 65 years, Willis Howard to cherish her memory; along with her two sisters, Charlene (Ginger) Williams-Smith and Shirley Turner and their three children Will (Carie) Howard of Salcha Alaska, Tom (Stacey) Howard of Kona, Hawaii, Teresa (La`Brinda) Howard of Circleville, Ohio. Eleven grandchildren Dan (Polly) Ariel, Wintr, Wesley, Breanna, Jennaveve, Cortney, Sean, Megan, Brendan, Isaiah, and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other family. Preceding her in death are her parents, Thomas and Edna Rogers, two brothers Thomas Rogers Jr. and Roy Rogers and sister Carolyn Norris Jenkins. The family can attend a brief service on Saturday August 18th, 1:00 pm at CALIMAN FUNERAL SERVICES 3700 Refugee Rd Columbus, Ohio 43232. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Mary E.
